Are you an old school? are you fascinated with our filipino culture? are you curious how filipino lifestyle way back spanish era? What does the filipino dish they usually serve? Are there houses's was once so expensive to build? These was the many question i ask myself. But thank God i had this chance to go to Vigan for only 3 days, and i had to spend most of my time exploring this place. And here are some of my experience to share it with you guys. Please patiently read and see my gallery. Gracias people..
Vigan was located in the province of Ilocos Sur. This was one of the popular tourist destination in Northern area in part of Luzon, philippines. It was once greatly influenced by Spanish and Japanese. That's why most of the surname there are japanese like, according to my point of view. But it was more popular because of the Governor Chavit Singson, because he really was the one showing what Vigan can offer to the tourist, and also to our fellow Filipino people.
This place was really a treasure that need to protect and maintain.
For me this are my evaluation why the Vigan is a quiet unique place to go.
1. PLACE
This place showcase a lot from the Heritage Place and also the Bell Tower and the Old Church's and the Crisologo Ancestral House. The plus factor also the pathway its like i'm walking on a European country.
2. FOODS
Ilocano dish was quiet good, they love to prepare vegetable dishes with an awkward name(Sorry Ilokano kababayan).Yes me too had an awkward moment pronouncing it, like Poqui-poqui don't get me wrong please about this, basically it's just an omellete eggplant with tomato saute on onion and other veg. Plus as we all love and my favorite the Bagnet and the Empanada, Okoy, Longganisa, and many more kakanin. Plus lots of Fruits and Unlimited Vegetables
I also discover this Pizza parlor which serve pizza toppings with popular ilokano dish such are bagnet, pakbet, longanisa and more. It was located long the Heritage Place.
